I am so confused by this song. Holiday in SPAIN, correct? His girl is in MEXICO. They make speak the same language..but they are in different continents. And... Could the lines: 'She tied you to her kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the hallelujah' Have something to do with how in Donne's words "We are all wanting to be ravished by God.." hence being tied to a kitchen chair...but rather than God drawing the Hallelujah it is a Nun. For example how in the residential schools the Nuns shaved all the native peoples' heads and forced religion upon them. That is just my interpretation. Someone else may have already said that..I was just too lazy to read ALL the posts lol |
