i think the drug he is talking about could either be meth or coke. both make you lose weight and make your heart beat fast so that you can't sleep. he is definitely talking about an abortion, but not of his child. he often takes other people's experiences and makes them into songs. |

i think this song is about how you can learn from everything and everyone if you just listen. this woman was probably different from anyone else he had been with, but she had so much to teach him that he really respected her even if she did lie a little here and there. i think this song is about living in the present, instead of the past or the future. There's no need to think about the past too much (life is how it is, not how it was), but its also important to remember to enjoy the present instead of anxiously awaiting the future (when it comes to you, you will know what to do). Wherever you are, you're there, and that's where you're supposed to be. |

this song is about two people who are so in love with each other, but for some reason its just not going to work out. whether it be distance, time, etc. they both think very highly of each other but unfortunately there is something keeping them apart. and at first they didn't want to admit it ("at a distance that i didnt want to see") and believed that love was enough to keep them together, but after a while she realized that "just because its real don't mean its gonna work" she never felt so close meaning she had never felt a love like this and now that its gone she feels more alone than ever. |
