Biffy Clyro – Mountains Lyrics 17 years ago
I listen to this song while I'm unicycling. It's got a great beat to mess around with. As with all songs, I'm never sure what there about out, but I think that this could be about his mum, following on from the theme of her death in Puzzle.

I'm quite sure the first line is:

"I took a bite out of a mountain range,
I thought my teeth would break but the mountain did"

Biffy Clyro – Get Fucked Stud Lyrics 17 years ago
The entire album focusses on the death of his mother -"Now somebody is asking when you will disappear" is perhaps about the burial. I guess, this song is about how he's dealing with it. Maybe going out with some friends and taking drugs to escape for a while. "Get fucked stud" could be advice from his friends telling him to clear his head.

Glasvegas – Daddy's Gone Lyrics 18 years ago
It doesn't come off as rediculous because it's quite clearly not an unrequited love song to a father. I haven't even heard this song, but from the lyrics it's quite clear it's about a family that breaks up because of the behaviour of the father.

The first verse is about how great family life was from the viewpoint of a child, how we all assume that family life will continue without problems.

The second is about how the family breaks about, specifically about the father mistreating his wife, and how now the child has to see the father every saturday. The way this verse is written it sounds like there's a lot of resentment for the father figure.

And the chorus... Well... I would have thought that was quite obvious. It's more of a punishing lyric, looking at how sad the father has turned out, how they are being pittied. The father is left alone with no one, "reminiscing what I had"...

Biffy Clyro – A Whole Child Ago Lyrics 18 years ago
I'm obsessed with this song. A big favourite from the Puzzle album, which people should stop being so negative about.

I think this song is about progress, and looking back about how things were. I wonder who he's talking to at the start of the song.

A Perfect Circle – Weak And Powerless Lyrics 18 years ago
Just to provide a little clarity on the "Thirteenth Step":

Other users were quite right to say that the title is a reference to the 12 steps in the AA/NA programs. Long-term AA members say that the 12 steps is a life-long one-day-at-a-time process, with each step equally as important as the others. Since the 12 steps are life-long AA/NA members referred to the death of another member as the 13th step, the final step in anyone's life.
They also use it to refer to AA/NA members dating one another. They recognise that the emotional stresses of dating and romance could lead either member to abandon the 12 steps and maybe even lead to the 13th step.

It's quite clear that the album is about drugs, and Weak and Powerless is maybe easier to interpret that way that most others on the album.
