| I think this song will be interpreted differently by different people with different experiences. However, I also think a lot of Wintersleep's songs have similar themes. This one, to me, seems to be similar to Butterfly. I think it's about the loss of somebody close, and the line "But I was too afraid/ of monsters at the time" suggest that the loss was at a young age. Perhaps the death of a mother? I interpret it as that because I lost my own mother at a young age, and that's what the song makes me think about. | |
