Coldplay – Yellow Lyrics 18 years ago
I read on Wikipedia that Chris Martin was looking at the Yellow Pages one day and came up with the idea that way, but I also think that it has drug references - "I drew a line for you, oh what a thing to do" that's about a line of coke or heroin because sometimes it can be tinted slightly yellow or brown if it's cut with something that changes the color.

D12 – These Drugs Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is pretty self-explanatory.

3 Doors Down – Smack Lyrics 18 years ago
This is definitely about heroin... motor junkies are heroin and meth addicts... The part where they sing "where you get smacked up all the time" is about shooting up heroin behind a liquor store. The entire song talks about heroin addiction, and basically sounds like a boyfriend singing to his junkie girlfriend or something...

Shinedown – Save Me Lyrics 18 years ago
Of course the first verse is about heroin.. even the part about a hallway with no doors and no rooms, because it sounds like a junkie living in an old apartment building. The part about taking away all the pills obviously also refers to drugs. It sounds like a cry for help from a junkie.

Marilyn Manson – The Speed Of Pain Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is MOST DEFINITELY about CRYSTAL METH!!! For one, SPEED is a name that commonly refers to methamphetamine...and the song is called "The SPEED of Pain" - and I can totally relate to this song when he sings "When you want it, it goes away too fast", because it's so true. Meth is an extremely addictive dopamine rush, and you constantly use more and more to try and reach that initial high you got your first use. Even the music and sound effects remind me of that feeling of being wired on meth, which is called "tweaking". "Times you hate it" and "Just remember, when you think you're free, the crack inside your fucking heart is me" makes it seem like the meth is talking to you directly because Meth actually makes your heart beat faster... and you'll never truly be free.
