Why does this song have no comments? I'm so glad Meese is finally up here on SongMeanings... I love this band. Well this song is about a guy who pretty much put up with a whole bunch of bullshit his whole life. One side of him is the "Nice Guy" who lets everything just happen, and the other is the guy who was hurt by everything but stayed quiet... But he was pushed too far and finally went over the edge and goes out and takes his revenge on everyone who has ever hurt him or betrayed him. The song is pretty self explainatory... Amazing just like all their other songs. |

The first time I heard this song I was listening to the lyrics and thinking that these lyrics were written about me. I agree with knhutc, but I don't believe her parents had anything to do with how she feels. It seems more like love and friends have let her down and she doesn't feel worth it anymore... She feels like it's her fault. People tell her she's beautiful, amazing, etc, but she doesn't believe it because in the end they're gone, even if they weren't just lying to get what they want. She just wants to feel needed and loved, but she's afraid to be who she really is. She hooks up with guys and pretends that it's okay when inside she knows it's not... And because she doesn't feel worth it, she probably reduces her standards to guys who treat her like shit. She could do so much better. And she'd change herself for somebody to come and make her life okay, even though she's perfect the way she is and she's not the reason why people have left. |

I, like most people on here, heard this song on the Free Hugs clip on Youtube. The song and video go so perfectly together... The song is about acceptance, and not caring about the flaws in people and loving them nomatter what. In the video, a guy is giving out free hugs, and he's accepting all types of people and showing affection for them, loving strangers, flaws and all. I love this song so much, it's one of my favorites. It's such a beautiful song. The video made me cry, it is a good reminder that there are people out there who care. There isn't enough affection in this world, it was great to see that. |
