I dont think it's Arthur McCloud telling this one because he dies in "Our darling daughter you are little Cecilia Marie". I think it's Martha McCloud finding out what happened to her sons and blaming herself for not solving the puzzle earlier (like stated above). She turns to god to avenge the murderers of her sons. This song is clearly about revenge. |

I agree that this is a new character, and yes, maybe a ghost haunting Cecilia who doesnt really notice him at first "through the light of day and dark will you notice me?" The ghost falls in love with Cecilia but decides to stop and move from the house cause she cant love him back "I won't love her anymore she won't let me" I think this song maybe is some kind of filler to make the story more interesting in the long run, or maybe the ghost will come and help Cecilia further in the story. Who knows? It's Claudio we're talking about! |
