This past year, Kevin has started to sing "Immigration", instead of "Abortion". And, somewhere in the third verse, he's put "And as the drum beats toward Iran I can hear history repeating" |

I'm not sure if I'm right but I was listening to a live version and he could have just changed it for the performance but where he usually says "...your world once told them it is." Well, I heard this time "...your book once told them it is." |

| Kevin Devine – Tomorrows Just Too Late (live) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| About how some people(religious irish) believe marriage is forever and that's it, even if it gets very rough and your spouse has changed. That's all, no way out. But he's telling the woman, perhaps mother, relative, or friend, to just leave or tell him to change. But, beyond it all to stand up for herself at all. | |

did anyone think about what the 'where he's going to park that thing' meant? It always bugged me that I couldn't figure out what he was trying to get across with that line. My friend said she had two theorys: 1)While writing the song he's driving around and is getting frustrated with the car in front of him. 2)He doesn't know which way the country will go concerning the war and the 'He' is either the country as a whole or Bush. |

| The Format – Dear Boy Lyrics | 18 years ago |

First: I'm pretty sure it's "They say we're just not high octane" instead of snide. It's completely about the music industry. One of my favorites by them. high octane comes from the major label they were on during interventions. While they were making it, producers kept telling them they weren't high octane enough. After that line I think it's just a joke of people taking hits too seriously and wanting to have hits, where the format wants to make their own music not just aim for hits. I don't understand the Arthur Lee reference though. |

I think the word for this song is facetious. But I love it. Although I love the lines, "we swore we'd never take pictures pictures only prove you can't convince" because I think this is one of the few parts that is actually talking about love. No matter how you take a picture or how much you explain to a person the meaning of it you'll never get them to feel the same feeling you were feeling when it was taken. I hope I worded that right. |
