| Butthole Surfers – Jingle Of A Dog's Collar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I've noticed that too. Before this, I've never found any other mention of the similarity. | |
| Sex Pistols – Bodies Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Birth is messy too. Everything is messy. Ahh! | |
| Anti-Flag – This Is Not a Crass Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I'd rather have little musical talent than be a bitch to RCA. Crass's sound comes from their open-door policy. Anyone who wanted to join could do so. |
|
| Nirvana – Floyd the Barber Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| So how do you explain hearing the zip? | |
| Nirvana – Floyd the Barber Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Well said. By the way, is "KickerOfElves" a reference to Tenacious D? |
|
| Crass – Where Next Columbus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
In Reality Asylum, Jesus is a metaphor for all religion. And I'm not sure if this presents him as having positive ideas, if those ideas come "from the confusion of his soul." |
|
| Crass – Well?... Do They? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yeah. I think it's played a little faster, but it's basically the same. | |
| Crass – So What Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| My favorite Crass song. It gets ridiculously intense in the second half. It makes my spine tingle. | |
| Crass – Reality Asylum Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Quite a few comments are on the similar "Asylum", which is listed separately. | |
| Crass – Punk Is Dead Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Penny Rimbaud has a computer. He's seen using it briefly in a scene from the documentary. | |
| Crass – Punk Is Dead Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Exactly the opposite actually. There is no authority but yourself. Stupid people (i.e. David Beckham) wear their symbols to try to look cool. It's not their fault. As to the street show comment, this is typical. Violence apparently establishes one's punk status. Another reason punk's dead. |
|
| Crass – Punk Is Dead Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| That's the problem. Punk is not a scene. It is an ideology of true self-reliance. It is not dependent on musical styles. Punk music, however, died in 1984. | |
| Rage Against the Machine – Bullet In The Head Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ciarannn, you do realize that Atlantic Records, not RATM, sued Tanya Anderson? That's why it's called "Atlantic v. Anderson". Major labels and the RIAA (MPAA, etc.) are evil, not the bands. The bands get ripped off too. | |
| Nirvana – You Know You're Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I thought it was "Things have never been so swell I have never failed to feel". That would make more sense with the following "Pain" Anyway, great song. |
|
| Quiet Riot – Cum On Feel the Noize (Slade cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| These lyrics are for the original by Slade. Quiet Riot changed the lyrics around a bit. | |
| Tenacious D – The Government Totally Sucks Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Lantern Bearer, your sentiments bring to mind the song "No Revolution" by The Explosion which talks about the constant revolution against the faceless and nameless "machine" without taking any real effort to fix problems. This song does too. I think I missed the day in history class when we discussed how Ben Franklin smoked weed in the nude. |

| Monty Python – Henry Kissinger Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| John Cleese takes the prize as my favorite Python, but Eric is a close second. Toe-tapping song. | |
| Monty Python – Decomposing Composers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| No comments? But it's such a beautiful song. | |
| Monty Python – Eric the Half-a-Bee Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is a good song, but I believe Cleese is putting on some sort of voice or something. Anyway, it doesn't seem to be his natural voice. | |
| Monty Python – I'm So Worried Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's not annoying, it's awesome. He's worried about both stuff that's very important to the world and stuff that's not important at all. | |
| Monty Python – Oliver Cromwell Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song is so "serious" but it makes me laugh as much as all the other ones on the album. "And the King lost again, silly thing Stupid git" That makes me emit a "solitary giggle". |
|
| Rush – Subdivisions Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"...Moreover, I have Never seen it as being exclusively about high school, when it says "in the basement bars, in the backs of cars" well teenagers certainly cannot usually get into bars(in the US)!..." - Sozluk I agree that the song is not exclusively about high school, though that's the example that's used to emphasize the theme. About the "basement bars," however, I always took that to mean not a real "bar," but a party in some teenager's basement where alcohol is readily available and the pressure to fit in by drinking is strong. |

| MC Lars – Signing Emo Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Great song. The sad thing is that the chorus sounds a lot like some of the songs on the Madden 07 soundtrack. Oh well, at least 08 has Ozzie. | |

| The Presidents of the United States of America – Froggie Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I won't dispute that it's about Tom Petty as asserted by JAStewart, but I think the song can be applied in a broader sense. The frog is a rock star and the frog experiences the height of glory and fame, then sinks into oblivion and depression and dies from a drug overdose. The part from "The show is over" to the end is the best. |

| Marilyn Manson – Slutgarden Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
xenodolf is right in his lyric correction, although I don't think his interpretation of it is quite right. I really don't care. Anyway, I believe the second time through, it's not "I won't regret," it's "I won't repent." Good song, I like the bit around "I never believed the devil was real." |

| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Wow, they're too busy bashing posers to realize that they are posers. | |
| Alice Cooper – Elected Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The words at the end are: And if I am elected, I promise the formation of a new party, A third party, The WILD PARTY Why do we have problems? We have problems right here in (?San Jose?) We have problems of the North, South, East, and West New York City! St. Louis! Los Angeles! Detroit! Chicago! Everybody has problems And personally, I don't care |
