| First Off, excellent song. Definitely one of their overlooked masterpieces. Im not sure of the meaning however. What I was wondering is if any of you have seen the second documentary for the Robin Hood Hills murders. I believe it was called Innocence Lost or something like that. Anyway, the scene when they play this song (Metallica did the entire soundtrack) was absolutely creepy. Just sends shivers down your spine. And in relation to some of the posts on here, it plays while the stepfather is in the scene who many have speculated may have murdered the boys. Controlling and abuse father figure. Just a thought. If you havent seen it i suggest trying to find it, or maybe just that clip on the internet or something. | |

Personally I like to think this song is about Robert having an affair with a married woman. And of course that should never be but they are in love anyway. And if I say to you tomorrow. | Definitely one of the greatest Zep tunes ever. This song holds special meaning for me and my wife because it is almost like it tells our story. It's crazy how much it reminded me of her over the last 8 years when we weren't together. Shed never heard it until recently and she agreed. The guitar in this song is so rich and the tone gives me chillbumps (like you shelter).Beautiful arrangement and Plant's voice is angelic in this song. Perhaps later I will disect this one and explain the story, or perhpas not. | |
