ok. The only song written on this E.P. by Glenn Danzig is Halloween but Fall Children WAS produced by Glenn Danzig so he did not write the lyrics. now on to my opinion of the meaning It kinda sounds like an apocalyptic time to me from the "destroyers" point-of-view. "As the cries start to penetrate still air, this day we celebrate. The wait now ends." It is such a sad/terrifying moment that the cries and screams can penetrate still air... so they celebrate that they can finally start destroying after waiting for so long. "From four corners smoke plums into reddened sky." Im guessing these are buildings burning "In the face of latern light, my destiny flies." It's their destiny to destroy the world "This day so hallowed, from here to forever its will I will follow." They believe that they have to destroy the world "Tonight will come to life. To further my comment :D I think "My Blood Goes To Work, I Hear the Howl" means that his blood has to work harder to keep him alive now (because he's dying) and then he hears the howl of the wolves and dies. and the rest of the song is describing their killings and the slaughter house Great song! |
