i take it as with the majority that the song is about deception, obviously, that is what a trojan horse is, in whatever way, shape, or form. i take the lyrics themselves more as excuses, or once again deceptions - trojan horses. "You used to close your eyes when we kissed goodbye You didn't want to see me draped in sadness". she takes her watch off, or closes her eyes - she doesnt love him, and proof of this is the actions she takes - and her saying its "because she doesnt want to share our time with anyone" is an excuse, not the real reason. the chorus itself i always saw it as her saying it. i say "her", i mean the other person in question. |

i agree, i think this song is fantastic. my first impressions of this album was poor, but having listened to it more ive really gotten into it and really started to appreciate it. is it normal for people to instantly relate to songs like this? ive recently split from a long term relationship, and looking back i realise all the mistakes/how bad things got/the things i put up with that i shouldnt have. and, basically this album really sums up my feelings of late. the feeling that it was a mistake, and people did warn me, but its bloody hard moving regardless. i guess the way you relate to a song varies person to person doesnt it. im rambling, this album rocks, and i never say rocks. |

i do agree its quite funny, but none the less a lovely song. and a very upbeat tone to it, which is a pleasant change, i cant help but feel happy when listening to this song. as light hearted-er song as it is, i think if nothing else it shows how talented mew are, and are by no means one trick ponies. |
