Lostprophets – Somedays Lyrics 13 years ago
I think the first verse is "...times rolls on, never stopping to enjoy the sights, of people I proved wrong..."

And the second verse is "...yeah, only to ebb away at the exact time we meet...". Not "drift away" as some lyric sites suggest.

Great song, favourite from the new album. Can definitely relate to this.

Lostprophets – Streets of Nowhere Lyrics 16 years ago
I am not sure about the second part of the chorus, I think it sounds like:

"Grey clouds up above her,
But you still gotta love,
These streets of nowhere,
These streets of nowhere."

Or something similar.

Pendulum – Mutiny Lyrics 17 years ago
I heard these part of these lyrics in the Slam VIP Remix, must have been something they wrote a while ago but didn't develop into a full song until In Silico.

Less Than Jake – The Rest Of My Life Lyrics 17 years ago
I'm going to give an in-depth interpretation of what I think the song is about to me. I think most people have the general idea about making mistakes, suffering the consequences, and trying to make up for them. When I refer to "he" I am referring to the narrator, purely because both of the writers/singer are male. It can relate to anyone.

"I fell asleep last Saturday, underneath polluted skies, I walked alone on those Jersey nights" - I think the mention of the polluted skies and walking alone gives the impression the person is depressed.

"I saw the board walk start to fall, The emptiness starts to drown, The quiet corners of this town" - He is (I'm assuming) imagining the boardwalk collapsing, and his feeling of emptiness starting to drown. I see this line as his emptiness going away, i.e. making up for the mistakes he has made. I'm not too sure about the "quiet corners of the town", but it would probably be quiet as he is alone at night.

"Late last night I made my plans, It was the only thing I felt I could do" - He has now decided to make amends, as it "was the only thing I felt he could do".

"Said goodbye to my best friend, Sometimes there's no one left to tell you the truth" - I see this as him saying goodbye to his best friend, as he is leaving to make amends. I think the second part is him realising that he has done so many things wrong but he only realised it when his best friend has "told him the truth".

"It's gonna kill me the rest of my life, Let me apologize while I'm still alive, I know it's time to face, All of my past mistakes, It's gonna kill me for the rest of my life" - I don't think the chorus needs explainings, its pretty obvious what he means - he has to make up for the things he is done or it is going to kill him in the end.

"This is my all time low, Somehow it feels so familiar, Somehow it seems so familiar" - I think this is saying he has done it before, and now realising he has been doing it all his life.

"I feel like letting go, And every second that goes by, I'm screaming out for second tries" - This could be him feeling suicidal and him wishing he could go back and do everything differently.

"This is the mess I've made, These are the words I can't erase" - Again, pretty obvious - he has said some things he shouldn't have.

"This is my life support, Shutting down, For the final time" - I think the mention of life support should not be taken literally, but instead everything in his life that is keeping him going has now gone. I think its a really good metaphor, obviously if a life support machine shut down, the person would die, but this is shutting down "for the final time", i.e. it has shut down more than once - he has felt this many times, but this time is the last as he is going to make up for his past.

"And it twists like a braid, And kills me for the rest of my life" - Some people hear this line as "swings/twists like a blade", but I think either way the meaning is the same; its painful and its killing him.

"If you won't forgive me the rest of my life" - he is hoping to be forgiven in the end.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic song that many people can relate to. I think the video just reinforces the points above, mistakes made as children can and should be made up for, or they will kill you in the end. Also the points people make about Mark Hoppus/Tom DeLonge/Blink-182 are very valid. They fell out in the past and he feels that maybe one day they should make up or they will regret it. It's also worth noting the song was written in late 2005, a few months after Blink-182

Is it just me, or do parts of this song sound like Foreword by Linkin Park?

Linkin Park – No Roads Left Lyrics 18 years ago
Yea I reckon that this B-side is possibly better than some of the tracks on the album, or it should have been on the album anyway. I saw Mike singing this on the Making of M2M on the special edition DVD which was cool.

Only once through? I have listened through around 20-30 times now, still love it. :)

Linkin Park – What I've Done Lyrics 18 years ago
I'm glad to hear some of the new LP songs, and this is definately different, but in a good way. It's nice to hear Linkin Park trying something new, even if they are dropping the nu-metal sound altogether. This song is great with meaning behind the lyrics, as other people have said. I think it is obvious from the music video (found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADpRcrGZ4LU) that the song is about the variety of problems we face such as terrorism, poverty, using natural resources, taking drugs, etc. and forgiving others and yourself for "what I've done". Keep it up, LP!
