well did u all know the singer David is jewish? he even planned to become a rabbi. well the line 'I can't go on, with a holocaust about to happen Seeing you laughing, another time' makes a lot more sesnse when u know that, and that as a kid he got beaten up for being jewish whilst wearing his shawl nd other things tht he wore for his religion. but of course he got back up and beat the shit out of the dicks who beat him up, with his bike lock. =] |

kinda sounds like chavs.. wel the begining verse at least does to me; Running off over next door's garden Before the hour is done (this is what chavs do..) It's more a question of feeling Than it is a question of fun (some of em do it cos their dumb friends do it and they wanna feel what its like.. not that i mean to justify them by saying this) The confidence is the balaclava I'm sure you'll baffle 'em good (they wear balaclavas to hide their identities whilst causing trouble in peoples back-gardens and other stuff, and they think they look cool with them on) But the end will reek of salty cheeks And runny makeup alone (runnning from the police and/or poeple whos gardens they've been in, if its cold or not can make their eyes water, hence salty cheeks.. because tears are meant to be quite salty.. and they're running down their cheeks. Also their eyes are the only part showing because they're wearing balaclava. The make-up running part is just the same but as its a girl there too, her make-up would run. ) =] just what i thought upon hearing it once or twice.. |

Yes, this song has a direct referance to Nirvana in it - well i think.. 'I took my time, I hurried up The choice was mine I didn't think enough' in this song, refering to 'Take your time, Hurry Up, Choice is yours Dont be late' in nirvana's song 'Come as You Are'.. (this mite have been mentioned before - but i really cant be fucked to look through all the pages and see if it is..) :D |

| this song is friggen great. and whilst it doesnt particularly remind me of Nirvana like necrophage said, the main/ beginning riff thingy does kinda sound a lot like Smells like Teen Spirit. =] anys ways it aint a particularly bad thing.. but u can just see that QOTSA probs get a lotta bad comments about it sounding like it aint they... then again QOTSA dont actually give a flying shit. | |

System Of A Down Nirvana Trivium Tenacious D Korn (but not any of their songs that have rap artists or the ones that they attempt to rap in (: - there just shit! ) and also not necesarilly in that order... but SOAD and Nirvana are definatly top two. and to do with the song.. im only just gettin into this song (only being a fan of Slipknot from Vol.3) and i do thiink that Coreys vocals are quite good in the chorus - not really shouty as normal are they? but wtv.. |
