| its fiction. see tony's post above. the album is a concept album that feeds off of the notion that God abandons mankind, (similar to what he does in the Flood story and to Sodom and Gomorrah) only in this case he completely abandons the world, leaving it to its own destruction. in the album, God DID forsake us, so its not necessarily a reflection on Dan Weyandt's views on God's relationship with society and mankind. Unhappy lyrics for an unhappy concept. But maybe seeing what happens in a concept like this has woken a few people up. | |

nukethesun, its interesting that you mention the end of the album where he says "isnt this where we came in" check this out: if you loop your playlist, (or play disc 1 immediately after disc 2) you'll find that the end of the album loops perfectly with the beginning. this shows that with the end of Pink's story, another person will begin to build their own wall. (in the movie, this is shown by the children collecting the rubbish from the torn wall, possibly to build their own) |
