The Receiving End Of Sirens – Then I Defy You, Stars Lyrics 17 years ago
As said, the Romeo and Juliette thing is simply a blunt misconcaption they've made it seem like.
The actual meaning of the song is how people change to fit in with the crowd.
Eg, acting as someone different (not yourself) to be with the "cool kids".
They just portray this through the R&J theme.
Genious. Much like the rest of TREOS's music/lyrics.

The Receiving End Of Sirens – The Afterglow Lyrics 17 years ago
Again, it's kinda self explainitory; this was added to their myspace page after they announced that they were 'breaking up'.

"I'm the fervor of the fever
you can't sweat."
They can't 'sweat out' the fact that Brendan is leaving due to the fact that he has a family.

"I'm the melody stuck in your head,
stuck in your head.."
Obviously, they're songs (or the band as a wole) will be stuck in our (the listeners) head forever.

"..and I don't mind the afterglow.

No, I don't mind the afterglow."

The afterglow being the memories and mark they've left on the music industry, and the general fact that their songs made an impct on some people, and that they get listened to.

The Receiving End Of Sirens – The Evidence Lyrics 17 years ago
I think the lyrics of the song are pretty self explanitory;

"It's the consequence of privileged information.
You can run, you can hide,
But light will find a way"

Someone knows too much, something they shouldn't.

"Haunted and haunting, we all are followed
By shadows from martyrs and mercenaries"
Whoever it is is hunted by people who want them dead, eg. The Government? Someone knows too much?

"Plagued by what we know."
The information they know will eventually lead to their death.

"Burn the evidence; It's enough to make a case
It's enough to incriminate"
Explains itself.

While the lyrics of this absolutely astounding song seem obvious, I belive that they'r a cover up to something deeper, and the whole "Someone who knows somehting they shouldn't" is simply a metaphor hiding another meaning.

RIP The Receiving End of Sirens, the best band ever.

Funeral for a Friend – Escape Artists Never Die Lyrics 18 years ago
It's about....Dancing ;)
Anyone whos got the DvD Spilling blood in 8mm will get this ;D

I actually think it's about practice - Practice something, and you'll be good. You shouldn't give up. You'll become an artist if you keep practicing - Practicing escaping enough will make you an escape artist...And then you won't die ;)

Works for lots of other things too.
