exactly mpfister, i totally agree with that. the meaning of a lot of songs differ from person to person. this is a song that i can relate to so i see the lyrics differently. the verse that speaks to me the most is "All of the wasted time The hours that were left behind The answers that we'll never find They don't mean a thing tonight" i see this as a girl and a guy who like each other, and they both know that the other does, but nothing ever happens between them until this one night. they just say fuck it and have a great night...it's actually really funny. i was on the way home listening to this song and i couldn't believe that it was exactly what me and this friend were going through. and it was tonight that i just happened to say fuck it and forget about all the regrets and time wasted over thinking about her and just let myself have an amazing time with her. my thoughts =) |
