Hyde – Dolly Lyrics 18 years ago
Eh, what with the clone reference and stuff. It might be about Dolly the sheep maybe? I didn't make a connection between the name and science/cloning at first.. :x

Hyde – Perfect Moment Lyrics 18 years ago
"Ah, the sun is born of night"
I'd say he's talking about the sunrise here, which is the beginning of a new day. Maybe it's a beginning? As in being born?

"It sets again"
My guess it's a sunset, which is the end of the day. So maybe that'd be the end, death?

"Ah, the sun is born of night, it sets again
Though no one's here to see - it's endless"
The cycle of life and death, and since everyone dies someday there's no one who can watch it all for eternity.

"Sad, but everybody knows
A trip to heaven’s not really on the cards, no"
He won't go to heaven, and he knows it.

"Yet my "moment" has come
A crying shame, for now my life is over"
He doesn't want to die yet, so for some reason he is dying against his will. A disease or something like that maybe?

"So perfect, this moment So perfect, this moment
I’m happy to die in this moment"
However, now is the time for him to die. Now it's okay to die, maybe he even wants it.

"I’ve been to Heaven Heaven on Earth"
He got his trip to heaven anyway? Maybe it's this "Heaven on Earth" he found that gave him what he wanted/needed to be able to be at peace with dying and becoming a part of the eternal cycle.

Hyde – Dolly Lyrics 18 years ago
"Our science is religion"
He's stated before that he thinks committing oneself to a religion will make you a fanatic eventually, and that religious fanatics are what's wrong with the world today. So.. Todays science -> Negative, basically?

"No need to challenge the Cherubim"
Assuming it's christianity he's talking about and they've been said (among other things) to guard the Garden of Eden's east side.. Maybe he means you shouldn't attempt to get into the Garden of Eden? I don't know really..

"Machines try to take me to hell"
Bad science again..?

"Build a tower tall and strong It will be beautiful
Using our technology Babel will stand anew"
So, now when we have the technology that we do we'll build a tower that goes up into heaven. Doing what God did not want the humans to do previously, and prevented them from.

This song just feels like he's saying "religion = bad", at least to me anyway. I just get confused each time I try and analyse it, though. >.>;;

On a non-song-meaning note, I absolutely love this song! His voice in it is amazing imo and his english pronounciation is quite good.

Hyde – Masquerade Lyrics 18 years ago
This song makes me think that he's thinking about whether God really does exist or not.

"Lord, am I not worth your salvation?"

"So lord, why do you watch from the sidelines?"

"Lord, I've kinda lost my conviction"

These lines sounds to me like he's asking how if God exists, he can let the unjustice in the world continue like it does and always has been. Seeing as how God is supposed to love everyone equally and be fair to everyone.

Gazette – Filth in the Beauty Lyrics 18 years ago
To me it sounds like it's about non-consentual incest relation between a father and his daughter.

"please release me before breaking"
"in humiliation
the countless fatal scar was born"
"The final art is your dead face"
"Dad which fell to the trap"

Those are some of the lines that makes it sound to me like it's non-consentual.

And I know I've seen several translations of this song in various places on the net, but I can't find any of them now just because I want to find it.. >_
