| Pet Shop Boys – We All Feel Better In The Dark Lyrics

This is a very erotic song, put some headphones on and play it loud, it's totally psychadelic. I love how Neil talks in low whispers and mumbles, almost like a ghost. This song from what I understand, is that he meets another and finds a sexual exhiliration and excitement upon himself from this other person. |

| Pet Shop Boys – Casanova In Hell Lyrics

Strangely enough, this song was released just months before the movie Casanova had come out. The song itself is about an old, dying Casanova remembering his past with women. As most of you konw (hopefully know if you know your history), Casanova was THE biggest womanizer on this planet. Yes, and you thought Clint Eastwood was? Naw, he's probablly second. *Shudder* Anyway. He decides to try again with a woman, and him being at his old age, is horrible at making love, hence the line "He couldn't get an erection" and she makes him the laugh of the entire area. It's quite a sad song when you think about it, but he had it comming. ;) |

| Pet Shop Boys – New York City Boy Lyrics

Basically, this song is describing the major parts of New York. If you listen to some of their other songs, you'll hear refrences to Broadway and such other New York places, such as in The Theatre. It's talking about the big city life of NYC and how there's an endless range of things to do around there, the shopping, the plays, the historical landmarks, and so on. |

Wasn't much of a comment. Any PSB fan knows Neil is gay, and he doesn't care what others think, and I admire him for that. He's got more balls than anyone I've met to just go on out like that, without a care. This song is based off of an Italian clothing style which is similar, if not exactly the same, to the name of Paninaro. I think the song is just in a way a parody-like allusion about the style. |

Um. I'm sorry, but this song is not about communism. Where the hell does it say so in the frist place? As a matter of fact, Honestfi, you're right, it is a song from West Side Story, and you'll find a version from several artists, most operatic such as Michael Crawford for one. It's a wonderful song, I must say this is quite a unique way of redoing an opera song! The lyrics speak for themself. It's simply about falling in love, and wanting to be together forever, somewhere quiet, peaceful, serene. |

| Pet Shop Boys – I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing Lyrics

First off, I want to say this song is excellent. I've been a PSB fan for about 3 years now. On to the meaning of the song. What I get from the lyrics is that he's so head over heels in love that he is doing things he never had done before. Pretty simple and straight-forward song toward its meaning. |

I believe, like Sting's "Roxanne", that this song is about prostitutes. How it says she's in it only for the money and how she'll tear you up. Prostitutes don't love, they just have lust. Pretty straight-forward there |

This song is clearly shown from the movie Highlander. A man is immortal, yet he falls in love with a woman. However, the immortality can't be passed onto her, no matter what they do. The song is about the woman growing old and dying in the man's arms, while he lives on, still healthy, clean and young. This song was also redone by Sarah Brightman, whom for those who don't know, played as Christine in the original Phantom of the Opera broadway. It's on her album Time To Say Goodbye. Try it :> |

My mom and I was listening to this song, as well as looking at the lyrics. We both agreed that it highly reminds us of the age of the Crusades way back in old English. They were all blood-thirsty barbarians, and they were doing this for a "Pope", as well as, like Weird Al would say, "Scoring points for the afterlife". So they would brutally kill anything that moved that wasn't in their armor, and think after winning the battles for the Pope, they'd go to Heaven. But it was all, as this song explains, pretty much unholy. A pope who's position wasn't one of good, not at all. It's a great song if you like black/goth metal. |
