i think its about him cheating on her..... he's not talking about his gf or wife, but rather the person hes cheating with "my body aches from mistakes, betrayed by LUST" ..... so he's not in love with the person, he just lusts over her.... she tells him 'lets just be friends' and he agrees but its just a lie because he goes back and cheats with her again |

bloody hell, instead of writing how much you love the song, why not write what this website was created for you to write, what you think the meaning of the lyrics are???? ..... obviously, the lyrics are symbolic of the government corrupting and decieving its people in order to be a world power..... my theory on the last bit "I’ve got you in my crosshairs, now, ain’t that a bitch?
Washington, you’re Next!" is that perhaps he's talking about the devil, and its the devil that has washington in his crosshairs and that he's turning washington (or USA to be more to the point) into a the evil empire of the world...... like he says throughout the song, "Eighth False King to the throne" ..... from my knowledge of biblical stuff, which isnt that much, i understand that the Roman Empire, Babylon and even Nazi Germany has all been the devils capital at their own time, so im guessing there have been 7 of these capitals over the years and perhaps he's getting at washington being the 'next' evil capital |
