| The line "There's someone i'd like to see/ she never mentions a word to me/ she reads leviathan" is interesting, (and supports the hypothesis that this is not a happy song). This "someone" doesnt feel like they owe anything to the singer... and the book "leviathan" is a book about how government basically doesn't owe anything to the people it governs. Maybe the singer is saying that people aren't supporting each other and he's trying to convince himself all he needs is, "a day full of honest work and a roof that never leaks" to get along in an apathetic society. | |
