guh, the tone of this song is so gorgeous. I love the imagery "Let fall your shoes.. etc." It's so, lonely and touching. And am I the only person who thinks of Doctor Who ("The Doctor plus one. I'm the Doctor. This is Rose Tyler. She's my plus one.")? Probably. |

holy fucking shit, this song makes me explode with ;lKSDJFlkjsdfj'lsdk/.fjs'kjDL"FKJ". It's been on repeat since I downloaded the new album, which was like.. an hour ago, BUT STILL HOMG THIS SON G IS COMPLETELY FUCKING AMAZINg.
On a side note: Will Scheff's voice may not be the best, but it puts so much emotion in the song its fucking incredible, no other singer could give Okkervil the intensity of emotion you feel when you listen to them. |

"This is all we are,we simply exist." To me that's more or less the main theme of the album, it's dissing religion while simultaneously giving you the same message that Rise Up! Rise Up! does, "I've wasted half my life on the thought that I'd live forever". |

best song on the album and yeah, at first with salad days, i was jut like, what? but:

I love Cursive, all of their concept albums are completely amazing, especially with the way everything always ties in at the end and Tim can sum it up in the lyrics. Brilliant. |

Yeah, Happy Hollow's a street in Omaha and also a neighborhood. The street Happy Hollow runs through a pretty central part of Omaha and neighborhood is quite large. It's an old neighborhood and every house is unique in some way. Omaha owns you. |
