I kinda got the idea that the person singing it reflects on his life up until now. It felt as if he tried to commit suicide (no, i'm no goth or emo.. only focussing on depressing things..) or is a recovering drug-addict, and wants to explain to the people who love him what happened and why he couldn't talk to them about it. "I'll take this day by day by day" points out his recovery, the 'crawl out of my skin'-part is his detoxicating And somehow, I think there's some logic in here.. Even though so_long_soho has made it quite impossible to find anoter meaning.. *smiles* |

This song is about saying goodbye, not because they want to, but because there aren't any options left. "drive all night to hold you tight" some things just are impossible to hold on to. They'd like to keep trying, but in the end one of them decides it's been enough. "you're gone" Such a simple ending, but the impact of those two words on the entire song.. Without them it wouldn't be complete. [I love Sugarcult, they always know how to express feelings in small words or sentences.] |

Obviously, this song is about the death of a lover. It's absolutely wonderful, because i can even relate to it after having a bad breakup.. Usually i'm not quite into screaming in stead of singing, but here, the last verse is soo touching. You can almost hear the singer hold back his tears (or at least I can..) I hope the stars still spell out your name where you are. |

I found a mistake in the lyrics. The second line is "a better hiding place than on the ground" (Normally, i wouldn't care, but to me this line means a lot.) the song is about ending a relationship, because one of you found someone else to share their life with. It's about still caring for your ex and wishing them the best, even thought it isn't what you'd like for yourself to happen. You'll accept the fact that the other "waits for the illusion of the perfect song" -in this case, the perfect song would be his or her new relationship.- |

This song was sent to me by a friend of mine, which -ofcourse- i fell in love with later. It didn't work out, though.. And eventually i ended up getting hurt. A lot. So whenever I listen to Konstantine, i remember one of the best times of my life and dealing with too much pain afterwards. I love it. And hate it at the same time.Especially when he sings 'did you know i miss you?' and 'but dammit you're so young well I don't think I care ' -One of the reasons it didn't work out was the fact he was older.. Oh well, life goes on and the songs still is wonderful! |

Definately one of my favorites. (And it was played when Buffy and Parker were dancing at the party, in the episode Harsh light of day.. When there was still hope left for their relationship.) I believe that's what this song is about. Hope. A lover dying or being raped.. These things can be left out, but the basic line throughout the song is.. No matter what happens, there's still hope. |
