when i heard this i thought it was another part of the jenny/midnight show songs...the beginning has a morbid tone to it and the back road makes it seem like he's taking her somewhere they won't be seen...it's as if he's taking her somewhere to kill her like jenny and midnight show suggest...then he says "i dont really like you apolegetically dressed" makes it seem like he's angry at her for doing something like cheating and now she's trying to make up for it by being cute and attempting to make him forget about it... "There’s someone calling, an angel whispers my name But the message relayed is the same (wait till tomorrow you'll be fine) but its gone to the dogs in my mind i always hear them when the dead of night Comes calling to save me from this fight but they can never wrong this right" his conscience is saying don't kill her but he can't get over what she did to him I never had a lover I never had soul And I never had a good time I never got bold he's making nothing of their relationship to make what he's doing easier bones could mean sex but it's also morbid and bones represent death as well ok this is a long shot lol but it could work brandon is a storyteller so this could be a continuation of songs from hot fuss |

this song doesnt necessarily mean he's literally saving someone's life...it can just mean he's trying so hard to help someone he loves over come a rought situation...he knows his friend is going down a wrong path and he wants to help him but knows the friend has to deal with it in his own time..."i would've stayed up with u all night had i known how to save a life" he cant save his friends "life" if he doesnt want to be saved...Where did i go wrong? I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness...sometimes you have to step aside and let your friends make mistakes and you do lose friends when they're going through a rought time b/c they don't see what they are doing wrong...it can mean anything, drug abuse, alcohol, or even just having a negative change in personality bc of the influences a person's around good song! |

| this song is about following dreams and helping the people u love chase their dreams...its about being stuck in a rut and knowing that you have to change and break out of your routine in order to get what you want...he dreams about breaking out and making a name for himself but he wants his girlfriend or wife to approve of this and thats why it says "i dont shine if you don't shine" basically his dreams are nothing if he can't be with the one he loves... can u read my mind refers to him hoping that him and his wife or g/f will agree that it's time to move on and chase his dreams..by the end it says "she says i don't mind if u dont mind cuz i dont shine if you don't shine"...she's realizing it's time to let him try out his dreams...basically if you love someone you will do anything in order for them to get what they want | |
