| Bruce Springsteen – Girls In Their Summer Clothes Lyrics
| 18 years ago

Uh, no it's not. I love this song, but it's more about the end of summer -- and exiting the summer of life. Life is going on around just as it always had, but it's almost like he's not there anymore, like he is living in the same world with a different attitude. He's wearing a jacket and talking about the cool of the evening light, and the girls (Bruce would call them women if they were older like him) are wearing their summer clothes as they pass him by. He seeks familiarity at the old diner, and he's just a lonely guy trying to convince himself he doesn't need love. Really, all he wants is to have the chance to do it all over again.
Great song. |

It's a great song that always reminds me of that day. I think it's about the fragility of life, how everything normal can change so fast, and without any sense. It's a song that illustrates helplessness in a time of great madness. This is one of the most moving songs ever recorded. |

| Gary Allan – What I'd Say Lyrics

One of my 10 favorite songs of all time. Originally done by Earl Thomas Conley, but Gary's version is better. Clearly, the song is about what everyone thinks it is: the fine line between love and hurt. Is there a more underrated artist in any genre than Gary Allan? |
