I like how every single person to post makes sure right away that they don't consider themselves "emo." No one ever called anyone else emo, earlier I made a comment about someone else THINKING that they were emo, that's not me directing the term at anyone myself. Most people have agreed that there's no such thing as emo, and if you believe that there is you're a poser. But honestly, My Chemical Romance brings nothing to the table in my eyes. Nothing about them surpasses anyone else, really. Musicianship? No, try The Dillinger Escape Plan or The Mars Volta. Lyrics? No, try Glassjaw or A Perfect Circle. Their accessibility is the only reason they're so popular. |

All of Manson's covers sound the exact same as the original, except with added guitar distortion to make it sound heavier. In Manson's songs that aren't covers he writes terrible lyrics and his whole persona, 'I'm the fucking antichrist, bitches,' is getting really old. The only reason Manson was ever good was because of the instrumentation, which was pretty much all Jeordie White. And since Twiggy left Manson's been total shit. |

I think that he wrote this song trying to write lyrics that people could relate to, so the illusion that he writes good lyrics is given off. The song means nothing to him, but he just writes using poor imagery and an extreme amount of cliches relating to graves, death, and of course slicing your wrists so all his little fans (consisting mainly of posers) get all "lol, gerard writes such great lyrics omgz. i can relate to this on so many levels lawl." And I'm sure you all do act like that...pretend to be able to relate to the fake angst. If you didn't they wouldn't be selling all these records, eh? |

The Used's self-titled album is one of my favorite albums of all time. I despised In Love and Death, however; it just seemed completely incincere compared to the previous. If vocal range is talent to you try listening to Mindless Self Indulgence because Little Jimmy Urine has about the largest vocal range you'll ever hear (MCR's opened up for them too, by the way) If by vocal talent you mean the way he conveys emotion through his vocals try listening to Day Without Dawn. Gerard really isn't that talented. |
