to be honest i thought this song was written for max who was the original bassist of the kooks. he left last year after they made konk.
well i know they wrote this way before the album was released ofcourse but the song was written by luke, hugh and garred which is the rest of the band and i reckon they got together and came up with this wonderful song. max was my fav kook and then thinking that this song is about him makes me sad lol.
then again...if there are references saying that paul's dad passed away and this is about his dad...then ok. that's cool too.
