"And just maybe I'm to blame For all I've heard but I'm not sure " Kurts wants to say : "my mind is parasite by all words people said to me, all the hate in this words ate my mind...but i'm not sure" and this " i'm not" sure" describes perfectly what you think when these kinds of sentence is in your head, you felt dispress and sad, but you're don't know if it's your life which is so fucking and then you killed yourselff with these stupids words or the opossite. you're confused, and when a songwriter /a poet manages to describe the words he thinks and the way he took them, it's brillant. Did i understable ? If you understand that, you understand what a lot a people take the wrong way trying to explain this song with lunatic explanation. |

I think is not a song about drug, but about all this life, so yes there is drug but not only. Obviously " king's crossing" is a way to say "suicide" the king it's him ( because he's a genius) et the verb means the brigde between life and dead and the time ( is + v.ing) means is not already done but the processus is like " a chain reaction"and altough is not already dead he knows the end. This song's talking about all the ways he tried to esacpe reality, all the ways reality killed him ( he discribes at the beginning all the kind of mind around him and why he doen't agree, he critizes us, industry, media, every one like you and me, in the way why he's special and not thank to his intelligence but his choices) For example "The scraping subject ruled by fear" talks about why he's so bored because every one talk about shit and shit and don't dare to talk about real think because they're so scared, and that's kind of things is what kills genius like him. Idem with " frustrating fireworks inside your head" and may be some times he's so disguted to be, him and his music, for everyone an false escape to feel inside them liberty a short time...he help them for nothing because people remains what they are. He felt probabyl abused and finaly useless. I'me french so sorry if my english is not perfect and if i'm straight ( direct) and seem to be too self assured in what i'm saying it's just beacause i don't know in english the words to look like ( sound like?) nice ;) if you see what i mean ! great site! to me elliott smith and kurt cobain are the real poet and songwritter of our generation. their words are so deep, true and touch us only where poet can touch anybody. |
