One last thought, "genre that has become so anti-religion, anti-God. pretty sad that a type of music has to blindly follow a certain trend" You twit. Nevermore was one of the few heavy metal bands that REFUSED to change to the every growing mainstream success at the time, Grunge. They're sound, they're lyrics don't follow ANY former "trend". They just play and write what sounds good. They're not anti -god, they're not embracing religion. They're portraying the inner confusions we all have. The questions we all have. And the ways we try and heal them, or solve them. |

I don't follow how "You have never seen God," conflicts with choices, or how he has "brainwash millions of youth" when this band (Nevermore) is by far underrated and overlooked. If any bands are to brainwash the youth it's this lame Marilyn Manson cult and the occasional easily lead that thinks they're politically correct because they listen to System of a Down. There are by far worse out there. To further argue, you're contradicting yourself by stating he's shoving his ideas down people's throats when you're doing the same. You do have people who will believe ANYTHING you throw at them. For the average person, they feel like a "rat in a maze" and "religion is power"-Nevermore. As far as religion not having an impact: I think suicide bombers would say otherwise. Maybe it's not the whole world, but it controls alot of people. He never says he knows the right "path" or whatever, in fact in most songs he claims he's blind, still finding his way himself.
