One of my favourite Kenickie songs! The way the song begins out of synch and by the end wonderfully marries until Lauren bittersweet vocal hits! haha Bliss! As the title suggest said song is about a robot, not any robot no less! My own interpretation of the song is that a robot wishes to be made human, to have a heart. However when this is made true the robot is overwhelmed by sadness it drives itself to almost destruction. Thats my favourite intepretation. Another would be about the break-up of a relationship and the homicidal feelings one has for another. Wander if there's any more? |

When I first heard this song I immediately thought it was about lottery winner who's riches ultimately leads to their own self-destruction, like the artwork for the single suggested. However the 'millionaire sweeper' instead turns out to be a hapless girl who I guess has fallen foul to the charms of a boy and is now, for the want of a better term, up the duff! I wander if it was penned about anyone in particular? Maybe someone the girls (Lauren, Montrose and Marie) knew at school? Good follow up to In Your Car nonetheless! |
