| The Antlers – Thirteen Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I think this song is the dream/nightmare that is mentioned in the next song on the album "two." The whole sound of this sound is very wavy and sweeping, with a haunting female vocal. It would be cool if it was anyways, thats my interpretation |

| The Antlers – Sylvia Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Sylvia Plath killed herself by putting her head in the oven, so they probably allude to that. I think (generally)the song is about an angry, verbally abusive partner who wont accept the others help even when she is ill (the thermometer reference adding to the "hospital" theme of the album). But the other partner still cares for them even though they cannot say it when they're awake. |

| Broken Social Scene – Pitter Patter Goes My Heart Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The title says more than lyrics every could. I love how the strings pitter and patter along the track, until the "anthems" bass line comes in, which is a lovely epiphany and conclusion to the record as a whole. | |
| Sigur Rós – Hoppípolla Lyrics | 18 years ago |

My mates played this song on little iPod speakers at the top of Eldfell Volcano (came out of the earth out of nowhere in 1973) in Vestmannaeyjar Islands, Iceland. It was sooo Planet Earth, and cheesy, but i absolutely loved it, great moment, great song. |

| Sigur Rós – Sæglópur Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i always think of this song as "volcano music" it always reminds me of the cold icelandic landscape at the start and a volcanic eruption when the guitars and the drums come in. If you've been to iceland you can tell how inspirational the landscape is, and where sigur ros got their style from. | |
| Hot Chip – No Fit State Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I got a terrorist vibe to this song "'Scuse me sir but what is in your bag Feels like those evil things you had" this reminded me of the tightened secruity in all British Airports Autumn '06 because of the foiled terror plots. Also "i would like to leave the ride Too many emergencies this time" reminded me of 7/7 attacks on the number 30 bus It doesnt really fit with the rest of the lyrics but I like the idea of it being about find love in day to day "dangerous" city life and having to act a certain way to sort of survive the lifestyle "acting hard's been tough." I also like the alusions between "hard" and "tough" as an ironic choice of words. Also this songs awesome |
