| The Corrs – When He's Not Around Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It's about an alien cat from another galaxy. | |

It might interest people to know that the lyrics on the version of this on the bonus album "The Life of the World in Flux" differ slightly. The last line is "I wish you were still around to break my fall", in case this song wasn't heartbreaking enough. Also, "Between the cancer and the chemotherapy". When I saw him perform this live, he sang "demerol" for the first line in place of "fentanyl". |

| Mousse T – Horny Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this song is about someone being horny, but I'm not sure; it could be a metaphor. | |
| Regina Spektor – Blue Lips Lyrics | 18 years ago |

The line, "Blue: the most human colour" reminded me of Sylvia Plath. In her poem "Ariel", she writes of her death: "Stasis in darkness. Then the substanceless blue. Pour of tor and distances." The 'substanceless blue', the colour of tranquility, emotion, the sky, the sea, the planet from far, far away. Ted Hughes writes of Plath, "Blue was better for you. Blue was wings. Kingfisher blue silks from San Francisco ... Blue was your kindly spirit - not a ghoul But electrified, a guardian, thoughtful." He addresses her: "But the jewel you lost was blue." Blue was Plath's intellect; her beautiful mind. It might be what Regina alludes to here. It might not. Either way, this is what my interpretation of this beautiful song is. |

| Kimya Dawson – Lullaby for the Taken Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think by the 'lady took the baby' she is referring to her sister-in-law and her nephew Skyler. I could be wrong. | |
