this is an amazing song. it really speaks to me. i think it is talking about love and how the singer has lost it. 1) "when i was a kid i thought". to me this line shows how he thought love was supposed to be when he was just a child. 2) the "thieves and crooks" line means cheaters and how love wasn't actually there. 3) "cause i'm thinking bout a brand new hope" is when the singer is thinking about next time. and that love is all that he wanted. hey maybe it's wrong to you, but thats what it says to me and thats the whole point of this site. |
