Yung Joc – Coffee Shop Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about dealing drugs. Do you seriously think a rapper would put a song on an album about fucking StarBucks? Dealing drugs is just how you work at a coffee shop, no visa no credit card just straight cash. It's all just symbolism and showing relevevance.

Tool – Die Eier Von Satan Lyrics 18 years ago
Translation:
{The Egg from Satan

A half cup of powdered sugar, a quarter teaspoon of salt, a knife-tip of Turkish hashish, a half pound of butter, one teaspoon vanilla sugar, a half pound flour, one hundred fifty grams of ground nuts, a little more powdered sugar... and no eggs. Put in a bowl, stir in butter, add ground nuts and knead the dough. Form eye-ball-size pieces of dough, roll them in the sugar and say the magic words: Simsalbimbamba Saladu Saladim. Lay on a greased metal baking sheet and bake at two hundred degrees for fifteen minutes, and NO EGGS. Bake at two hundred degrees for fifteen minutes, and no eggs.}

i believe it could be a test to those put off by fascism/nazism to not automatically connect the german language of a simple recipe with a political party.

Alice in Chains – Rooster Lyrics 18 years ago
It's all about America facing Vietnam in their own country. In the end our mission to turn 'nam into a democratic country failed. thats how he relates "Rooster" the smokeless tobacco to USA, tobacco or a war that failed or is unsmokable. this all was interpretation of his dad's war stories and how America still stands strong after the losses.

Powerman 5000 – When Worlds Collide Lyrics 18 years ago
i think this is about how people of completely different backgrounds either come together to fight something greater than them. ex. a group of people with some different thought of other things coming together with one general opinion to fight the opposition. with an opinion you can't exactly know who is right or wrong (who's the light and who is the devil) and looking for a leader he takes the role (im gonna be the one that's takin over) and from there he will chose positions for his followers and others who will be part of their group (one by one they will be hand chosen). there is tension in the group and they want to go back to their simpler life with never letting others who have different opinions get close to him but they can't because the only way to win is to fight with numbers (watch us suffer, cause we can't go).
and i think it has to do with opinions or beliefs with one of the last lines (everything that you thought was denied)

well thats what i think

Rob Zombie – Demonoid Phenomenon Lyrics 18 years ago
yes it points to necrofilia. but more broadly looked at it is pointing at how quickly the world you know can turn on you. "Turn around and meet the hater"
turn your thoughts around and see who you think you know is really the hater.
