let me add on to that...he is sayin that hollywood betrays him and the only person he can trust or feels close to is this girl that he can't see b/c he's sucked into the hollywood life. he is afraid if he gets in too much farther she'll be completely gone. |

to me "all the stars and boulevards aren't close enough to you" means that even though he is doing well and living the life in l.a., he still misses and can't let go of a relationship. he seems to have everything but the girl. |
