| This song is definately about someone saying "i love you" just to say it , or to get some gain out of it. Guy tells a girl this so he can have sex with her, girl tells guy this so he will get her whatever, etc. The songwriter in the end feels cheated, betrayed, and overall screwed over, becuase they probably felt real love. | |

OKay so a quick example of what i think it means. Person finds a druggie. He helps the druggie get back clean, and good. Then the druggie turns back to his drugs and does something to the guy, and in the end the guy feels cheated and that its almost his fault. Could be applied to many things, relattionships etc. |

| Seems to me the songwriter had a breakup in which it was the girls fault. Even if he loved her, she still fucked up bad, and fucked him over good. She saw a weakness, being its about a girl, she probably saw he was a nice guy, and would be very easy to try and manipulate. I think its a crying out to the girl, not believing she did it, but yet still anger at the fact she did. | |

After the first listen, this song seems to be about a relationship ending. Personally i could have used the last part for one of my own. Its kinda like something went wrong, something the other person did, and now they are back, and realize their error, and want everything peachy again. But the songwriter is saying no, and is being smart, he knows what happened, he knows its not forgiveable, and he knows that being peachy with the person will solve nothing, and only bring him more anguish. Looking at some more of the lyrics, mainly the second verse, it seems the songwriter has started over. He saw what happened, realized mistakes he had made, and is smarter and better off. His ego is fed by his healing and that the person wants back, and he knows he controls the cards, but yet he isnt totally done yet, he still has stuff on his chest, stuff that needs to be said, but that he cant, hes afraid of hurting the person, which pisses him off even more, hence killing himself for not speaking his mind. |

This song I think is a coming out of depression or a situation in which you were going way off, ie drugs. "re-invent yourself today reinvent your world today" THis is just like returning back, and making yourself something new. The chorus also talks about opening up your mind, which seems to me that it would be finally opening up to the presence of happiness, or life in general without whatever might have been keeping you down. THhe second verse is one badass verse. It is very true, and is almost something that i think we all need to look at in ourselves and realize. |

| Seems to me hes just having some hard times and is sort of depressed. "Theres nothing ever wrong, but nothings ever right" Thats a sign to me that screams depression. Nothing is going good for him, but nothing really is going bad, its just gives a general feeling of absolute hopelessness. It kinda seems to with "Theres always something new some new paht I'm supposed to choose" that says to me that he feels like hes being tossed around, and really isnt in control of his life, and that hes just going through the motions. | |

| The chorus is definately mocking, and almost sarcastic in a sense. The song i believe is written to one of two people; 1, a girlfriend. We all know how a girl or even guy can get into you enough that they are changing you into what they want you to be. 2. Parents. Parents i think are sometimes the worst people at doing something like trying to get you to change. They seem to want you to be everything that you are not. | |

i know this seems kinda weird but i think mayb the song is about being sexualy abused....i thought heard somewhere that chester was abused when he was a child but i could be wrong....some of the lyrics just seem to be a bit deeper than a dating realtionship thing "You love the way I look at you While taking pleasure in the awful things you put me through You take away if I give in My life, my pride is broken " hmm taking pleasure in the awful things u put me thru, my life my pride is broken...sounds like a classic abuse story...also the refrain kinda insinuates that the writer is going to abuse someone too "You like to think you’re never wrong You want to act like you’re someone You want someone to hurt like you You want to share what you’ve been through You live what you learn" the last three lines seem to say that the abused person is fighting back but in the end he will end up abusing someone else... the only thing that doesnt fit is really the beginnning and rapping of mike shinoda...i just cant seem to relate it to the rest of the song in neway what do u guys think? |
