| KT Tunstall – Paper Aeroplane Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I prefer the Red Light Stylus version of this song. It's faster and KT sounds much sweeter. Nevertheless the solo version is just as poignant. | |

Hah, lunaofthegrayskies, the white cape thing is plain odd. Perhaps Billy is living his futuristic super hero dreams out? Upon listening to this son far too many times for my own good, I think it's a love song of sorts, but one of a Corgan variety of course (read: difficult to interpret but fuckin' cool) |

My take on the song echoes much of what has already been said but I always have this image of a guy sitting in a room playing a piano while the outside world is being ripped to shit and the world is fucked. The drum beat and distorted sound effects make me think of this. As the Presence is destroying earth and mankind, all this guy can do is sit at piano and record (as indicated by the slightly clippy vocals) a last message to his loved one, as well as humanity. As the song dies out he's still playing this piano as it is all he can do. Numb, shocked, whatever, it's his final solace. The great thing about this song is the ambiguity of the message. Every time I listen to it I dunno if it's a hopeful message or a saddening record of Earth's last days. The final note of the piano isn't part of the motif which suggests... Well, I dunno what it suggests but it sticks out like a sore thumb if you listen for it. My $0.02 |

| B-side to Future Foe Scenarios UK 7" release, in case anyone's wondering. | |
| Silversun Pickups – Future Foe Scenarios Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Just got hold of the UK 7" single and pissed to find they've edited some lyrics. The chorus now goes: this revolution baby does it work for you lately Bah! Oh well, the B-Side is incredible, so swings and round abouts. |

| Dude, if the rest of the album is like this then I may be willing to look past the lack of D'Arcy and James. | |

She was enraged, by the way That the emperors were trapped in the cage Possibly the greatest lyric on the whole album. Absolute genius. |

Brian Aubert does indeed have a lazy eye as he discusses here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=r5vbEztY4Ns Very melodic this tune, probably a great song to play on a summer evening with your nearest and dearest. Plus, Nikki's hot, so that's a bonus. $0.02 |

Every time Brian sings that 'speaking to my new darling' line I get shivers down my spine. Loaded with feeling, it's such an amazing delivery to a great lyric. $0.02 |
