I really don't know, I've read everyones opinions and they have mixed with my own so I don't know what I think anynmore. This is a great song it's the one that got me into LoG. You are trying to seek the favor or acknowledgement of someone else, kinda like pretending to be someone who you aren't just to fit in. I'm guessing the next part would be you thinking to yourself at this point that this is the resolution, this wil solve it all and it's the end of progress I don't have to keep trying or something. The death of evoltuion, I don't really know what this would have to do with it but the way I put it is we have stopped evolving, not physically but our minds are just in one place all we think about are certain things like fitting in. friends, sex, etc and not being yourself and trying to keep an act up forever just to get the approval of others is bleeding youre life away and sooner or later you might actually become that person instead of the great individual you could have been. I had this whole thing down in my head but I foregot how I worded it. Something like in Tiananmen square, the communist government tried to force Communism on the country trying to change it so drastically. Mezmerized the simple minded, propaganda leaves us blinded. They mesmerized, or hypnotized/controlled the weak minded people first, the stronger like those kids at the square stayed there. The lies told blinded people from the truth. She's scared that I will take her away from there. Dreams and her country, left with no-one there. I think this part is in the governments view as like what I envision a girl in the square on the hunger strike against this going against soldiers, the government is saying she's scared that they will taker her away and she will never be seen, they were seen as I guess evil though they pretty much were. The communist government of China wasn't all baad, I think just the leader of the time was crooked but the great big revolutionary change I foreget what it's called was supposed to be for the better of the country then it backfired. Then all those screw-ups just had been left to be cleaned up, they just had the wrong people to do it. This is a great song, I haven't read many comments only ones on this last page. For one, TenSpeed, you're comment did make me think, about how the toxicity of drugs is slowly killing us. Makes me think of when my brother said he first started taking drugs, it made him realize things he has never realize before and it amazed him. He started to understand things that many people have been searching for answers to all their lifes from having this drug, or the sun, shine it's light into his heart or all of man's which is mankind's heart. He believed himself to be the sun then even though he is a simple man who doesn't really do drugs much anymore he sees himself as a person who knows the truth and he has already told me amazing things he's seen, heard and understood because of them. Conversion, software version 7.0, could be a new change staying with the drug thing. Conversion to a new drug, or it could be a religion. Then the rest of the song can go on to say you what do you own the world part saying these drugs and drug dealers have all this power over something so easy to get and so powerful. Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep, Disorder, disorder, disorder. This I think is like when my brother told me he used to always sleep and eat, seeds mainly when he was on drugs. in my top 5 fave songs including chop suey, lonely day and hypnotize, other than that its nirvana lithium anyway this is like a few others have said a song that is very under appreciated and i think the song itself and the meaning/s whatever it/they may be make this song great. it just wasnt as promoted i think and wasnt it on the first album when alot of the fans came from later ones. this song im thinking like someone else said the bottled water part we humans use water as if it was an unlimited resource, but it woiuldnt really fit with the rest of the song. im also thinking were the prophetic genereation of bottled water means sooner or later we are gonna be out of these resources and that is my early generation and we are going to end up drinkin bottled water coming from springs high up in the mountains, the only thing i can think of for poor populations dying is like Africa its hard enough for them to get water at all and allmost impossible for clean healthy water and they are going to get hit the hardest because our and the previous genereations and didnt know how to use our resources well.
