Wow, I'm surprised no one has commeneted here. Definitely one of the best tracks on Nas's new album, and one of his best albums at that (Illmatic... Stillmatic...) . This track was a HUGE moment in rap, when these guys reconciled their differences at Jay-Z's Total War concert. Haha I remember watching it, and listening to him talk about the beef, then he just turns around and screams "Lets go, Esco!" Nas comes out and the beats start at THOUSANDS of people are going BALLISTIC. It was nuts. Sick track. |

Hov is a legend and so is this album. There was no better way to end it then with his best friend and biggest influence Biggie, the man who left Hov with everything he needed to become everything he has become. Worth close to 400 billion and owns to of the biggest labels in the game, and one of the biggest rappers, Nas. Props Hov, give us another one like Black Album! |

I'm a HUGE Hov fan, trust me, I am. But Slide007, you really need to listen to Ether. He murders every aspect of Jay-Z. To mentiona few things: 'Eminem murdered on your own shit'. Nas is talking about the Jay-Z and Eminem track Renegade on the Blueprint album. Eminem's verse is considered the best on the album, an album Jay-Z is REALLY proud of (wrote it in ONLY 2 days). This isn't a thread about Ether though, so I won't keep going.

This song is about Nas's wife. It was part of the big beef between Hov and Esco... Funnily enough, I remember watching Jay-Z publically apologize for the song after his mom told him it was WAY to far. He brings it up in another song: 'My momma can't save you this time". |
