AFI – Totalimmortal Lyrics 18 years ago
Anyway, sorry for double posting, but my interpretation:

Davey is saying how he feels out of place because no one can understand him and his personality. He hates everyone and is being pushed down by their expectations of him, and perhaps the only ones who can understand him are dead ("voiceless ones"), and they are encouraging him to live his lfe despite the fact that no one gets him. Apparently, he's not the only one that the general populace is killing, since it's "flawless ones", maybe he thinks that he himself is flawless.

The more that I think about it, the more I am chalking this up to sXe. I

I am NOT hating on The Offspring, no doubt they are one of the greatest punk bands EVER. They just couldn't pull this song off. This is DEFINITELY one of AFI's best.

I'm pretty sure both Davey and Jade are singing...and either Adam or Hunter...I don't know, I've only ever heard Davey and Jade talk. These guys are brilliant though. And whoever said Jade sucks...he's brilliant. You probably think Jade sucks because he sort of was the catalyst to get AFI into the mainstream, as well as bringing in the darker, goth/emo sound, which is more AFI's style anyway, obviously, Davey's lyrics are incredible.

Nice song. I'd love it if my little brother didn't play it all the time.

AFI – Decemberunderground Notes Lyrics 18 years ago
Decemberunderground is a concept album...meaning the whole album makes up a story.
Just like AFI's previous album, the story may not start on Track 1. One popular theory (and my opinion of the album) is the story of an actor (possibly the same actor from Sing the Sorrow), is recieving an interview. He tells of an affair with one of his costars, and, eventually, the interview is over, and I think the interviewer commits suicide afterward. Anyway, the actor eventually goes to the set of his movie, and kills himself onstage.

This is not my theory, rather one that I heard on AFI's forums. I think it's a pretty solid theory, and my description was pretty bare-bones (the original description was much more in-depth, interpreting every little nuance of the songs), but...it's something to think about.

This album is incredibly inspiring. Even though I enjoy earlier, more punk-based AFI material, this album is one of my favorite CDs. Great job guys!
