| Bruce Dickinson – Welcome To The Pit Lyrics

I have to disagree with you there, despite what the sleeve says. I dont see this song as about sex at all. In fact.. this is a song about the occult. The unknown. Imagine yourself a non-human entity that comes to earth, lives a life, then dies, never having known who or what you really are (because you just thought u were a human).. but after you die, you are talking to some sort of powerful entity. It's showing you your entire life before your eyes, "are you suprised in the way you like it?" (how do you like this fleshly existance.. here on earth as a human.) And I view this line, "ride the snake" as a reference to a form of kundalini energy that exists around us, and is used to propel us into the dream and astral realms. |

"The Priestess stands before you , offering her hand as she's rising." I've talked to her before. She's real. Came into my bedroom calling me. "Serpent on the altar now has wrapped its way around your spine."-- Kundalini references. "Snake and Priestess they are one." Well, I know the Bride is also the Serpent, and often poems would exchange these words for one another (look up Gerald Gardner, he talks of the bride/serpent). "Harlot Womb of Death spits out its rotten core." This has to do with Babble On.. and I even think this a Kabbalistic reference.. especially because the next few lines speak of a Void/vaccuum, which is what I feel from the daath'daas sefira. |

| Dio – Faces In The Window Lyrics

One of my fav Dio songs.. and 0 posts thus far? Blasphemy. Okay here is my simple interpretation of Faces In The Window. The song talks about facing the day and shelter at first. I view this as a reference to being awake. Then "I just fade away" is that state of consciousness when you are entering sleep (hypnagogic/hypnapompic states). Our human body is like a Window, and whatever our true self/spirit is looks through this window to percieve normal waking state reality... the same way a computer's operating system is called "Windows", well so is our body and mind. Also, notice the line, "Sleep comes slowly... your fire starts to die, you open up your eyes.." So, if sleep is coming, how are you then opening your eyes? Unless, opening your eyes is a reference to astral/dream travel and other states of consciousness accessed when we shut our physical senses off. As for "we are evil and divine, just creations of the mind," obviously Dio has had his Crown Chakra opened. When your Crown Chakra is functioning you realize how we are actually just the product of our own mind and thoughts (quite bewildering). Furthermore, in such states of consciousness you would also be meeting odd beings, entities, spirits, and Evil Eyes aswell! |

Anyone ever seen Tool Lateralus CD/ or videos/art? You will see these EYES all over the place, often connected/linked in a circle/chain. I believe both Tool and Dio are in contact with some supernatural entities nicknamed as "Evil Eyes". They are many, yet one, and watch over humans.. like that Eye ontop of the pyramid on a USA 1$ bill. I've come in contact with them too. Dio says, "And take you to the places you don't know." because they can take your a portion of your "soul" out of your physical body and show you astral planes (like the internet [everyone connected together], yet through a dream state).

| Dio – Don't Talk To Strangers Lyrics
|
Someone else mentioned sarcasm, but wasn't as confident as they should have been when sharing this factor. This song uses the word "Don't" a lot. Let us count the ways: Don't (1) talk to strangers (2) write in starlight (3) stand in doorways (4) dream of women (5) smell flowers. All of these 5 subjects are essentially neutral, but can be positive or negative depending on the situation. They can lead to your downfall, or they can lead to happiness. These are our desires, or a romantic way of actualizing/visualizing your goal (writing in starlight.. something most civillized humans wouldn't do, as what does it accomplish?) You won't write in starlight unless you are truly serious, devoted, trill, legit, etc about your goal. So what do we do? Live in a state of paralysis and fear.. afraid to do anything to talk to anyone, everyone is now a stranger, no girls, emptiness loneliness.. or .. the contrary, actually live and enjoy it. Yes, Dio is quite facescious in this song. Btw, I notice a lot of people confused over Dio lyrics. If they were easy to figure out, then what fun would that be? Sometimes songs have a personal, individual interpretation aswell, that only the listener feels ..

| Dio – Egypt (The Chains Are On) Lyrics

I first wanted to mention how similiar this is to another song that was released later (and possibly inspired by Dio's) by Bruce Dickinson called "Taking the Queen." Dio talks about how the "Queen lies dark and cold".. same with Dickinson. Obviousyl there is some correlation. "When the stars dont shine then the story is told." Basically, Dio and Dickinson know the tale.. they are occultists and very wise.. but many don't. The Queen... the feminine principle.. the inner self, the astral plane, dream world where we are all linked together.. its taken from us. Now, "Their chains are on"... humans ruled over by the 4 elements, instead of spiritual supremecy. "Chains" is a broad term here.. anything binding you and holding you down from whatever it is you are TRULY supposed to do. |

| Dio – The Last In Line Lyrics

The song starts out with a positive message. Ship without storm -- safety. Laugh without tears, hope without fears. So now they are "off to the witch", a reference to being born on this planet earth. Planet Earth = The Witch. "We're all born upon the cross" -- The Cross = The Planet Earth. once more. In astrology the earth's symbol is a cross in a circle. This planet is essentially formed of 4 elements, thus 4 arms of a cross, and we're all born here. "Two eyes from the east its the angel or the beast." Okay, this is an easy one too... this is a reference to The Sun & Moon. The Sun is the Beast 666, and the Moon is the Angel. They are "Eyes", in many religions the moon and sun were classified as eyes, and even associated to our left/right human eyes. The Sun and Moon both come from the East, thus "from the east". "The answer lies between the good and bad" -- just as the sun and moon are right/left eyes, and numerologically 6 (sun) 9 (moon) [reflections of one another]. Any questions or comments. Thank you.
