Set Your Goals – We Do It For The Money, Obviously! Lyrics 19 years ago
straight from Jordan himself
http://www.lowcut.dk/037_lc/interview/5.asp

This song was written about the countless bands we have encountered along the way who say one thing, then turn around to twist things on us when we have our backs turned. "If we share the same stage, why do you act this way?" We are not exploiting hardcore. People need to get over themselves.
At the same time, we don't pay these people much attention anyway, cause it'll just keep them going. And to be honest, their lives don't affect mine in anything more than a minute long punk song. After that, I've got other stuff to worry about.

Set Your Goals – Latch Key Lyrics 19 years ago
jessitheriveter nailed it. i read in an interview with jordan and he mentioned how people always think this song is about a girl/boy relationship. i think he said it's about matt's relationship with his parents. great song though. i love it.

The Early November – 1000 Times A Day Lyrics 19 years ago
It's kinda funny to hear their story piece together in this song. I've read in many interviews about their life together and it seems to go in order with this song. In an AP article, Ace mentioned how him and his lady were the only kids in high school who listened to any sort of punk music (thus the Blink, Choking Victim, Millencolin references). In an online interview, Joe and Jeff were talking about The Room's Too Cold and its lyrics. They said that Ace was in this different state of mind because they broke up in between the EP and TRTC (And since that day we've had our share of problems). And from this song, Ace proposed before The Mother, The Mechanic release. And I saw pictures from their wedding; they got married last spring.

This song is pretty self-explanatory and it doesn't take much to figure out what it's about. I love how Ace put this together with the music. It's as perfect as it gets. And I agree with almost everyone here when they say, "I still get chills from hearing the trumpet part." I've listened to this song countless times but just the other day, I was so moved by it; tears and everything. It's a beautiful story. Ace is brilliant.
