This song is mostly aimed at Ronnie. "And when you know there's nothing left, You're gonna run like all the rest. Take your bags and turn your back from all the friends you had left." This part is talking about how he screwed up and almost ruined the band. "It's my time, this is just a declaration. Of Our Vows Whoa, oh oh We won't back down." This part is saying that now the band is more dedicated than ever, and they're not giving up ever. "We're gonna drown your ego You're the legend no one knows You're an honest fake, I know So now i'll drown my pity In a pool of sorrow and shame Until the day I forget your name" This part is very interesting what really gave away what the song is truly about. If you've seen the messages between Ronnie & Max, They were very sour at one point. I'll use quotes. Ronnie actually said " Escape the fate is ME, and will ALWAYS be ME. And YOU will forever live in MY shadows. " This explains why they're drowning his ego by becoming an even better band than before. Max then replied by saying "YOU WERE NEVER THE BAND, PERIOD.....YOUR A LEGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND...." Which explains the line "You're a legend no one knows". "until the day i forget your name" is explained closest with this excerpt from Max "ILL NEVER LIVE IN YOUR SHADOW AND I WOULD NEVER WANT TO, I DONT RESPECT YOU AND I DONT ADMIRE OR LOOK UP TO YOU IN THE LEAST BIT OF ANY WAY." He has no legs, no wheels, no other mode of transportation other than himself and cant do handstands. No seriously, i think its about getting fuckin trashed on tour. If you listen to whats said at the end of the song, when the music cuts off. He's puking a little bit and he says "Oh My God dude, im bouta pass out, i want you to pass out." or somethin like that and the other guy says either "Understood" or "Then its good" then he says in response "I fuckin like it" i think thats what he says, and the other guy says" Its just not my, flavor." It gives me a vibe of a really crazy night where you just popped, ate, or smoked somethin crazy and your going nuts. Pretty fun song actually. |

Plus i pre ordered my album and i'll be seeing them Nov 12th at the Cleveland HOB. 90% of the people that dl'd this early and enjoyed it are going to buy it anyway. Anyways, about the song. Its about halo 3, obviously. but the guitar in this song is fuckin sick. In that solo i swear i hear some Dragonforce. They definitely got better with time. And it sounds more like it says "This is War War War War War War War War This Is War" at the end, instead of "Why" |

This song could mean a number of things. Personally i feel its just generalized purposely to fit many situations. It Could easily be related to craig's joining. Its also funny to see another Halo reference. This song kicks serious ass. So does this band. I've been a fan since 04 when i first heard of them. I can definitely relate this to drugs, labels, and cutting. and just for the records i only approve one of those (Drugs) but eh, to each his own. do what you gotta do. anyway i digress. Drugs - My stomach hurts now (hasn't had a fix in a while, so he feels his body aching for the shit) And all tied off in lace (a relation to heroine) I pray, I beg, for anything To hit me in the face (He wants to stop, its an almost indescribable feeling for your mind to wanna stop but you brain is telling your body you cant operate without it. it fuckin sucks, makes you feel helpless in your own skin, so hes praying, asking for a divine intervention if you will, that he can stop) And this sickness isn't me (he knows it isn't like him to be this dependent on something, but everyone only sees him as a fiend, thus he's trying to tell the world he's a fake, he doesnt actually like the drugs) And I pray to fall from grace (calling out for help again) The last thing I see is feeling (Literal) but the rest just seems like its kinda emo based (nothin wrong with that) or its about how he was expected to not live like a rock star but hell i'd rather be a rock star than an emo punk anyday (not that theres a problem with any of those) JP |
