| I'm a little confused---is he being sarcastic? Does he think shaving is silly, or does he agree with it? | |

Exactly what I was thinking musicforlife! I think it was hard for him to leave Bellingham--I live there, and there's definatly something that you just become attached to there.. I think Timber Lines is the evergreens here , and he left it for the oil slicks and parking fines in Seattle. And yes, 1138 Ellis is a street adress in Bham. What I'm wondering is in the end, he says it's the proper place---is he talking about Seattle or Bham? anyway, this song makes me sad, thinking about the past, and leaving Bham but it's my favorite by them !! =] -a |

dude ok. I LIVE in Bellingham so yes, we all know that Holly and Railroad are streets there they are streets downtown that has many cool shops and indie kids and such I can see them hanging out there in the olden DC days and please pleaseeee I hate it when people relate this to Seattle because it really really isnt about Seattle, Bellingham infact the two are really quite different, Bellingham has the sort of undiscoverd beauty and simplicity its really a great town thats why I really love this song, I can really realte to it, that carefree feeling of being inlove with downtown bellingham and he's leaving bellingham, which is sad really, for me |
