The first verses are straightforward - the viewpoint is from a young child watching his parents' marriage fall apart and hoping it won't happen. He desperately wants his parents to stay together and work out their differences. His parents continue to assure him that everything will be "wonderful" soon enough. "Promises mean everything when you're little and the world is so big" means to me that the "promise" is his parents' wedding vows and their marriage means everything to him because he's so young and he doesn't want his world to fall apart. The lines "I just don't understand how / You can smile with all those tears in your eyes / Tell me everything is wonderful now" most likely refer to his mother, still reassuring him that things will be okay even though she herself doesn't believe it and wants to cry. The next lines are also self-explanatory. When he's at school he pretends like everything is fine even though he dreads going home to fighting. He immediately seeks refuge in his room to avoid the arguments his parents hold. He doubts the possibility of his parents resolving their problems. After the second chorus I believe his parents have separated and even though they tell him he'll "understand someday" why they split. "I don't wanna meet your friends" is to me a reference to his mother's new boyfriends whom he doesn't approve of because he wants his mother to return to his father, and "I don't wanna start over again" refers to a new marriage and a step-parent. He longs for the way his family used to be, before his parents fought and before they separated. He grows to be bitter about the entire incident and doesn't want to be told that things are better now, because for him they aren't. |

| Groove Coverage – Little June Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this could mean that the girl partied a lot and possibly drank herself to death. I can see mopontop's point on the "hands of a man that she barely knew" because perhaps she partied and drank a lot to drown sorrow and didn't really believe in anything, but she was still a lot of fun to be around so her death was devastating. The repetition of "cause love will never die" might represent a loss in her life that caused her to drink. It's just a bit of a theory. | |
| t.A.T.u. – Gomenasai Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I've always thought this song was about getting into an argument with somebody really close to you, and you realize you were the one who was wrong. Lines like "What I thought wasn't all so innocent / Was a delicate doll of porcelain" made me think that the singer believed someone was wrong or bad for something, then realized that it wasn't true. And the "I never needed a friend / Like I do now" sounds like the singer wants that person back in their life. Hence the apologizing by the Japanese word "gomenasai," meaning "sorry." That's just what I get out of it though. | |
