Strata – Coma Therapy Lyrics 18 years ago
The memories of a relationship, that has ended and being stuck in these memories is like being a coma. You're numb to the world and see everything through a thick layer of dust and you let yourself be soaked in the memories of her/him.

Such a simple thing, but Strata manages once again to put a lot of feelings in it, while using unusual phrases and metaphores. Beautiful...

Strata – The Dotted Line... Lyrics 18 years ago
A typical story about a girl, running away from home to L.A, hoping for some luck in the big city, but everything goes to hell, so the only way to earn money is becoming a hooker.

The dotted line is a line where you put your signature on a contract for example, but I guess everyone knows that.

Strata – Night Falls (The Weight Of It) Lyrics 18 years ago
The whole album was written in different cities, so this song is an intro to the whole thing. It's about the hopelessness of a night

Stone Sour – Socio Lyrics 18 years ago
This is totally about Corey's addiction. "Freedom in a cage" is great line. I guess all of us felt that great feeling of freedom, when we could run out on the street naked, screaming: "I am the king of the world", after drinking some amount of alcohol? yeah, remember all the crazy stuff you did when you were drunk, feeling free?

In Corey's case it's pretty the same, he feels free when he's drunk, but the addiction is his metaphoric cage.

Default – The Memory Will Never Die Lyrics 18 years ago
I heard this song last spring, a month before I moved to another city. It was the best spring of my life so far and even though lots of great things happened, I was always thinking about how hard it would be to move and leave all my friends.

This song reminds me, that even if I'm far away from my true friends the memories of all the fun we had together will never die! But there always is something negative. The memories can be a plague, espescially the happy ones...

When I feel like sh*t, this song can cheer me up and next time it will bring me down, because I can't let go all the beautiful people and I hate the new town I live in...

Stone Sour – Cardiff Lyrics 18 years ago
Just like ed_vedder100 said, this is only about Corey's alcohol addiction, nothing more. But I can understand, that people find different meanings in one song, that's just the way Corey writes the lyrics. He has the meaning in his head, but he lets the listeners to refer to the song in whatever way they want.

This song has many beautiful metaphors, which makes lyrics really poetic

Even though I'm a huge fan of Stone Sour and Slipknot, I hate to see Corey Taylor bald, he looks like Eminem. I hope he'll grow his long hair back for the new Slipknot album.

Alter Bridge – Broken Wings Lyrics 18 years ago
I think this song is just about showing more respect to those who suffer and those who are in pain.

This song f*cks me up every time I listen to it. I was listening to it several minutes before my girlfriend dumped me, so this is my ultimate break-up song! haha

Seether – Tied My Hands (Acoustic) Lyrics 18 years ago
I love the Chorus of this song. The line "Made me wild, then you tied my hands" makes me think about my first girlfriend. She lightened up my life and right when I thought that everything was perfect, she broke up with me and "tied my hands" for a few months. I couldn't think about anyone else, couldn't enjoy anything...

I don't like the acoustic version as much as the original, which really gets you in a melancolic mood. Listen to the original and you'll forget the acoustic right away, I guarantee!

Strata – In A Sweet Dream Lyrics 18 years ago
This song kinda reminds me about the film "Stay" with Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. It's about near death experience and what you might see in several seconds, right before you die. The film is a total mindf*ck the first time you see it. So is this song.

I see several meanings in this song.

1: He has a wonderful dream and when he wakes up, the reality looks like hell, so he can't forget that sweet dream, that lightens up his day.
2: This dream is a symbol for a great relationship that ended and now when he is on the bottom, he looks back on those happy days and they are like a dream to him, because the memories filled with love and happiness seem so unreal, compared to what he's going through afterwards
