Well, on Kelly's website, it says her songwriter wrote it for her ex-boyfriend, who was a drug addict. But, I like to translate it another way; A friend (who would be the person singing, Kelly) loves this guy (in a friendly sort of way) whose suffered all sorts of heartbreak. She wants to keep him from falling apart, but she really can't. He kind of likes the pain he gets from the heartbreak, which makes him hysterical ("But he's only happy hysterical") She's saying he's beautiful, but a disaster. Kind of an oxymoron. Oh well. That's just my thoughts. Bee. |
