David Dondero – I've Seen the Love Lyrics 18 years ago
this has to be one of my favorite songs by david dondero. or i feel like i can relate to it.

"I, I've seen the love
And I let it slip away
And I, I've been so lonely
So much I could not say
And are, are you still just ok? "

that's an amzing stanza, even if it's simple read...

Bright Eyes – Reinvent the Wheel Lyrics 18 years ago
Yea, alot of his songs get mistaken for being about a girl. But he says he writes from his own experiences aswell as others. And I "think" that he is writing about someone he admires, or an idol. Though, that's kind of given away in the title,"Reinvent the Wheel". Which means that there's so little that can be done by him. Because this "person" has already accomplished so much. It's really complicated though... =/

Bright Eyes – I Won't Ever Be Happy Again Lyrics 18 years ago
i think the lyrics are wrong, like:

"Now it seems that you too see a painful blue
When you stare into the sky"

"Now it's easier to see a painful blue
When you're starin' to the sky"

"The movement of a hand waving goodbye"

"The motion of a hand waving goodbye"

i don't know, i may be wrong. (?)

Bright Eyes – Reinvent the Wheel Lyrics 18 years ago
Okay, as a big fan of Conor and "Bright Eyes" i know for a fact that if the song is about Elliott Smith or Jeff Magnum (and I'm not saying it is) it's more likely about Elliott. They're both from Omaha, Nebraska. They're both major influences on indie music today. Though Conor says he is a big fan of David Dondero and gets alot of influence from him. He still feels he can relate more to ES. And another thing Conor didn't cover "a" song of Elliott's, but more. Over all to me, the guy from Louisiana that wrote "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" (in 1998) just doesn't make mush sense.
