| It's just the devil and his welcome greeting for a dead guy in the hell. | |
| Faith No More – Helpless Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's just about a lonely depressed person who feels out of this world and needs a help from anyone but just can't get it because of the depression. | |

"I Starde a Joke" means what this whole album is: a big joke! Who in his sane mind could ever put some songs like "Cuckoo for Caca" and "Ugly in the Morning" together, in the same album that "I started a Joke" and "Just a Man" are? This album is big joke about a band that once was loved by the press and momentaneous fans and that is into a decadent phase, going out of Show Bizz ("King for a day, fool for a lifetime"). The Bee Gees cover means that, no matter the nonsense things you put together in the album, if there is a pop hit song, some dumbs will put in on the radio or tv to get some money more over the band and the ones that buy everything that's in the media. This is the joke and "I started a joke" is the meaning of the entire album. |

Caca means shit, in portuguese. Not the only refference to the portuguese language in this album (check out "Caralho Voador"). It might have been a dirty influence from Sepultura guys. |

| Faith No More – Caralho Voador Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Hi! I'm from Brasil and I think I can know what this song means. I think somebody might have told Mike Patton that the word "caralho" is a synonymous for the expression "big car" or "very good car" , as some words in portuguese with the "alho" ending mean a big or a very good thing, but the word caralho really means "dick", in its most aggressive meaning. Then a "caralho voador", in Patton's head might be a fast car, as "voador" means "flying" or even "fast". The part of the lyric spoken (?!?) in portuguese is right written this way: "Eu não posso dirigir e agora aparece meu dedo enterrado no meu nariz" It could be well translated as "I can't drive and now it shows my finger stuck into my nose" It seem that the music is about a guy who drives his fancy car but he is nothing but a fucked up loser. |
