X clan was a rap group known for its Afrocentrism and militant activism (they were members of Blackwatch). Probably a lot of the reason Eminem felt shunned by the rap community. He probably felt that "if you were white you weren't a rapper". |

MC Shan also found himself to be a key player in the noted hip hop rivalry "The Bridge Wars" between the Juice Crew and KRS-One. MC Shan also dissed LL Cool J. All I know is that he loved wearing Puma. Not sure how this relates to the lyrics. |

Big Daddy Kane is known for his ability to syncopate over faster hip hop beats, and despite his asthmatic condition he is acknowledged as one of the pioneering masters of fast-rap. He is considered an influence of Jay-Z who has mimicked his flow and lyrics. There is no doubt that Eminem would see Big Daddy Kane as a huge influence on the way he delivers his lyrics, not to mention that Jay-Z also is a huge influence on Eminem. To me they are all considered masters of lyrics and flow. |

"We seem to be approaching an age of the gross."
This is a quote from Spiro Agnew (Vice-President of Richard Nixon) in one of his May 22, 1970 speeches
Basically blaming alot of America's problems on the vocal youth movement. Funny that he ended up being forced from his position as vice-pres, for taking kickbacks from contractors and who smeared antiwar protesters and critics of the Vietnam War and Nixon White House. |
